Sweet Christ, a technology older than Buckleys goat (by the way, his goat has passed away, god bless and let the poor soul rest in peace) and its still used widely on the older Point of Sale systems at my workplace. Unhook a printer, and your monitors get disabled...
Recently our printer failed, in which we needed to repair. Now, these Point of Sale systems are quite old, no real manufacturing date due to the face it was in the Pre-Jesus era (BC for the Christians, BCE for who aren't). Luckily, we got a loaner right now, and everything is "functioning", oh wait, nevermind... Oh well, can't win them all.
